The President's Message

By Alan Resnick

Let's start with some good news. The Board has approved a discount on hanger fees. If you wish to pay a years hanger fees at one time you will receive a one month discount. That's 12 month's for the price of 11. When you send a check in PLEASE mark the check with what it is for, ie: hanger # 39 March 03 to Feb. 04 or Membership 2003.
Please remember MEMBERSHIP dues are already due. You don't want to receive one of those "Your Flying Privileges are Suspended" notes.
Along with the elected Board Members, Charles Cantrill, John Gruener, Dave Gray, Jack Levering and Fred Griffith have been appointed Directors-at-Large.
I am very pleased to report that Don Hathaway and crew have finished the roof repairs. Now all we have to do is finish the inside part and we'll be good as new! Thank you for all of your hard work.
Fred Griffith still has that big smile on his face and over a hundred hours on his new 912S. He carried Fritz to JumboLaii's Sunday feed at Graystone and Cindy Butler, Dave Lepow with Lori, Buddy Babcock with Kristine and I with Rhett Radford tagged along. If you have a spare Buc II upper gear leg with you and a little help and a little luck it only takes about 45 minutes to change the part. I think I've taken the crown from Artie Biagi. At least I was taxing on grass when the leg decided to give it up. Of course we went for the food first!
We have purchased a spike aerator for the runway. With a little work I hope we can smooth out some of the rough spots.
I would also like to remind everybody that check-outs on the tractors are FREE.
