The Spring Social was a wonderful time. The weather could not have been
better. The turn out was great!

Our SPECIAL THANKS to Marlene, Treat, Fred, Rex, Don and all who helped
get the field and club house ready and help organize and carry out the
events. The whole field was in particularly good shape.

| With the tent up and the grill going the planes
came in from Lee Field up north to South Lakeland on the other end. |
| We Had Vernon Peckham on the microphone and all
the events went smoothly. First the BOMB DROP, then the SPOT LANDING,
followed by the WIFFLE BALL CATCH and finally the DEAD STICK LANDING. |
| A very skilled Steve Bensinger from South
Lakeland took top honors and Chaz Almond was a very close second. |

A "VERY WELL DONE" to all the pilots!!

After the flying was finished and we had a little rest. Bob Touchette had
arranged for some more feeding on pork roast and ALL the fixings. Another
memorable Gator feeding event. Again, Thanks to all who brought more food
for the evening feed!
