September 2002

Back from Oshkosh were I have been helping out my largest sponsor, Aero Sports Connections. I really did not enjoy it very much. The weather was not great and the viewing public few. Highlight was the T51 Titan two seater which flew in with John Williams, C E O, who had a smile from ear to ear at his latest brainchild, and if the truth has it, it already has a long waiting list. Dave's Rans is up for sale already and he was seen drooling over the cockpit of the T51? Dave flew up to Oshkosh with a friend Dennis also in Rans, they met Paige on the way in the SeaRey. The Dennis Fetters designed Mini 500 Revolution Helicopter is back with a turbine engine, eight gallons an hour, and all the structural failures have been sorted out. It flew very fast.
There were very few Helicopters, and only one gyrocopter at the show, the Magna from Italy powered by a Rotax 912 S. From Poland, powered by the Verner engine 2.2 G P H, the J K 05 Junior. A composite Gull winged two seater, caught my attention and was put on my Christmas wish list, from Skypath Company in Canada, check it out Skypathcorp.   Powered Parachutes, Destiny had two new aircraft, The Vision, single and a two seater 447 and 503, new also from Argos Indiana, The Phoenix. Guess who had a day at the field this month, and I for one could not be more pleased, I heard he has retired from business. Roland Alexander! The Editor is on vacation up in Maine, we all wish her a great time; no doubt her and her husband will be visiting some more lighthouses. The President is also away on business up in Nashville, Tennessee. I am back on the road for the A.S.C. Nationals, and Extravaganza Columbus, Kansas, Kolb's Fly In and Copper state Arizona. I missed The World Championships, wasn't invited.

Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary

Billy and Linda

MANY, MANY, HAPPY RETURNS OF THIS WONDERFUL DAY!

Of all the members of the Florida Flying Gators, to which you have been members for nearly half of your married lives, you both have shown to all, loyalty to each other, friendliness to everybody, no matter who, first to help in any and every occasion, joyful or sad, and there have been plenty of both since 1983. Always ready to show in a practical way, a love which is so rare and precious, that at a drop of the hat will share. Your Love is an example to all. I wish I could have shown just a tiny bit of your example, and that our world could take a lesson. May the rest of your lives Be Happy.

Much Love and Respect.
